Dr. Tom Swafford

Dr. Tom Swafford is originally from Kansas and is enjoying ministry at WBC. Tom has served churches in Kansas, Indiana, and Iowa. He also served as a part-time prison chaplain in Iowa. Pastor Tom graduated from Kansas State University, Midwestern Baptist Seminary and received his Doctorate in Ministry at Midwestern on May 22nd 2010.
Tom and his wife Lynda have seven children in the home. Chrissy, Rachel, Matthew, Amanda, Libby, Becca and Anna. They range in age from 6  to 18 years of age. Tom mainly preaches expository sermons and likes preaching and teaching through books of the Bible. He enjoys preaching, visiting, and helping others.

Dennis & Pam began opening their home up to 20 -35 year old adults so they could share their faith in Jesus Christ. They do all kinds of activities with them including swimming, hot tub, ATV riding, volleyball, a huge slip and slide, giant movie screen,etc.

They meet on Monday night with high school and Friday night with young adults. They welcome anyone who wishes to attend.

Awana Commander

Linda Swafford has been ask to take on the  role as commander of Awana. She isn’t new to that role having served previousl
y in other churches. . She has an amazing love for young children and a strong desire to see them grow in their Christian walk with Jesus. She is a mother of seven children not counting her husband who by the way the senior Pastor of Wellsville Baptist Church. This is a big task for anybody to undertake but she is willing to take it on with the help and Grace of God’s strength.awana 4(Phil. 4:13) She could use all the help that the Body of Christ will offer. Come and join with her and see our children become Spiritual young men and women for the Lord.


Sean & Lesley Breithaupt (Youth Leaders)

Sean Breithaupt is a hometown Wellsville grown young man. He was a a well known and recognized athlete in High School. He first committed his life to Jesus Christ at New Hope Church as a young boy. Then several years later God began a new work in his heart and showing him how to be a Godly husband, father, and spiritual leader to the young people in his home environment, then at his work, and to all those in his community and to the body of believers at Wellsville Baptist Church. He and Lesley have struggled through many difficult circumstances in their lives and have found God to be faithful through them all. They have two sons, Seth, and Shelton.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             “And you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem (Wellsville), and in all Judea (Douglas County) and Samaria (Kansas), and to the remotest part of the earth.” {Acts 1:8}
